I'm always stumped on making eyes.. any suggestions? I usually use a black oval punch and try to use a white uniball.. but I cant get the color (blue, green, etc) of the actual eye for anything!

They make gel type pens, maybe its uniball, that are blue and green. They are easy to use and cheap to buy. Try that!

How about adding another oval punch (a bit smaller) in blue, green or brown and layering it with your black and then adding your white highlight?

Thats what I tried to do was add a smaller punch in blue but I was never quite happy with how they came out, and decided to settle for black and white. But the blue uniball sounds like an idea.

The punch thing sounds great...but where do you find punches that small in random sizes? I only have 1 oval punch and have never seen any in different sizes than the one I have.

You can use those little doggie paw punches and use the oval "toes"

How about the smaller hole punches from the cropadile?

You can buy sets of eyes right off of Ebay. You can get different colors and get sheets of them at a time. I love them. Plus...it saves a lot of time.

Wanted to add.. someone told me who sells heavily on ebay (for lots of moola too lol) she paints them on
I went and bought paint pens.. it works nicely! I still cut the eye in black cardstock but paint on the white and blue and it looks more realistic!!
